Gregory Gunther, Owner
Gregory Gunther is an entrepreneur, investment advisor representative, public speaker, and author. Greg began his journey in financial services over 20 years ago. Greg currently holds life, health, and series 65 securities license and attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Having grown up in the High Sierra mountains of California, he longed for a slower paced life. He found his paradise in 2000 when he relocated to Hawaii. Rebooting his practice proved to be a challenge, but with persistence and aloha spirit, he forged a new path. Greg has worked both sides of the financial world. In his younger years with clients his age teaching discipline to save, and in his recent years, helping senior citizens preserve their legacies for their heirs. Over the years Greg has made several strategic partnerships with CFP’s, CPA’s, CFA’s, and attorneys to more completely serve his clients. Identifying the potential retirement crisis that face the new generation of retirees, using his partnerships he shifted his practice to wealth management and income planning and founded “The Retirement Optimization Group, LLC” – an Investment Advisory Firm registered in the state of Hawaii.
Greg has a passion for educating people on ways to protect their hard earned wealth and currently services a sizable clientele and regularly hosts financial workshops on O’ahu. He has participated in numerous workshops around the globe and once had the honor of being invited to participate in the “ringing of the bell” opening ceremony at Nasdaq in New York City.
Greg is very proud of his loving family, his wife, Anissa of more than 12 years and their beautiful son, Aiden. The Gunthers are strong contributors to the health of their island community and regularly host and participate in beach clean up activities and environmental awareness workshops.
Greg’s first book, “Retirement Paradise” was released in 2017 and serves as a comprehensive guide to successfully optimizing your retirement and ultimately, your legacy.
